ABOUT PALS

WHO WE ARE

A not for profit support group that consists of parents, caregivers, and educators founded in 2002.

WHAT WE DO

As parents of children of all ages that may have educational, physical, mental, or behavioral challenges, we provide support and information to each other.

OUR MISSION

To educate parents, giving them the tools to help their children succeed in the classroom. It is our goal that parents, teachers, and school administrators work together to give children with learning differences the best possible opportunities for success in school and in life.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Parent Advocates for Learning Support is a group of parents concerned about our children’s learning differences and their progress through the school system. We come together for mutual support, education and skill development. We realize our importance as part of our children’s growth. Our goal is to form collaborative partnerships with our children’s educators.

Our membership includes parents of children with a variety of mental or physical concerns including, but not limited to: Anxiety, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Language Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder, and other academic, social, emotional or physical challenges. Many parents of children in the mainstream classroom or those receiving help through intervention service also need support and information to assist in their children’s education. We strive to respect confidentiality.
