Impact Parents
We welcomed ImpactParents co-founders Diane Dempster and Elaine Taylor-Klaus to our September meeting. Diane and Elaine introduced meeting participants their "coach approach" to parenting. ImpactParents mission is to provide support and training to parents with complex kids. Parents learn strategies to help their children as ImpactParents coaches successfully work with parents of children will a variety of differences, including executive functioning. In addition, their approach can be beneficial to a variety of families. By teaching a "framework" parents learn to reshape their family's future, shifting the focus from what they would change from the past to choosing to change their approach and focusing on the positive possibilities.
Please take the time to watch, or listen to Diane and Elaine's presentation. Meeting participants found their approach to be interesting and worth learning more about through the variety of ImpactParents programs. One parent who has participated in an ImpactParent program gave the highest praise by saying the coaches at ImpactParents "get it".
